Santiago Martinez, M.D.
Dr. Martinez received his graduate and professional degrees from the Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo. He completed residency requirements at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Martinez fulfilled an allergy immunology fellowship at Nassau County Medical Center in East Meadow, New York, a major affiliate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, American Academy of Pediatrics and American Medical Association. Dr. Martinez has also served on various committees for the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, and has published and presented multiple research projects in his field. His main area of interest is food allergy. He has also performed studies showing that the release of cytokines from the body, as a result of food allergy, can produce a variety of symptoms in certain patients with food allergies.
